“Santa Lucia” celebration at UB

Every year on December 13th the Swedes celebrate “Santa Lucia” day. At this holiday people gather to eat ginger bread cookies (pepparkakor) and saffron flavoured buns (lussekatter), while watching the Lucia procession and listening to Lucia and her handmaidens singing traditional christmas songs, dressed in white.

International students are kindly invited by rector Lena Nordholm to celebrate the St. Lucia day on December 11th between 7.30-8.30 am in the Green cafeteria. If you would like to attend this celebration, please register no later than December 3rd at 3 pm with Ewa in the Student Corps building or with Linda in room J414, on fourth floor in the library building.
