Second hand shops in Borås

Are you in need of furniture and/or household utensils? There are several second hand shops in Borås which will offer you this for a low cost.

Emmaus (Clothes, books, household utensils and much more)

Directions: It is located at the shopping area “Knalleland” just next to the store “Ö&B” and the grocery store “Willys”. It takes no more than 10 minutes to walk there from the university. You can take bus 1 towards Sjöbo or bus 3 towards Ishallen, from Södra Torget (“the Bus square”), get off at the stop “Bergslena” (takes app. 5 min) and then walk in the direction of “Willys” and “Ö&B”. Look for a big yellow brick house.

Monday-Friday: 10am-7pm
Saturday: 10am-5pm
Sunday: 11am-5pm

Borås BiståndsCenter, BBC (Books, toys, lamps, clothes, furniture)

Directions: You can take bus 3 towards Ishallen, from Södra Torget (“the Bus square”), get off at the last stop (takes app. 8 min). Go straight ahead (Ålgårdsvägen), now turn to the left and walk straight ahead again for app. 700 m)

Myrorna (Books, household utensils, clothes, furniture, kitchen china/porcelain)

Directions: It is located at the shopping area “Knalleland”, no more than 10 minutes walk from the university. You can take bus 1 towards Sjöbo or bus 3 towards Ishallen, from Södra Torget (“the Bus square”), get off at the stop “Bergslena” (takes app. 5 min). Go back approximately 10 m and cross the street.

Mötesplats Kupan (Swedish Red Cross) (Books, household utensils, clothes, furniture)

Directions: You can walk straight ahead from the main square, look for Handelsbanken, walk on the right side of the building, look for the pub O’Learys, and now walk straight ahead for another 10 m.

Borås Second Hand HB (Antiques, lamps, furniture, kitchen china/ porcelain, pictures/paintings)

Directions: You can take bus 1 towards Sjöbo or bus 3 towards Ishallen, from Södra Torget (“the Bus square”), get off at the stop "Bergslena" (takes app. 5 min). Go back approximately
10 m, turn to the right, go under the bridge, turn to the left, walk for approximately 50 m, and look for a low yellow brick house.

Sometimes there are people who would like to sell their old furniture. If you are lucky you can get it for a very low cost and sometimes even for free.

- The University of Borås: Sometimes there are students who would like to sell their old furniture, computer, computer parts and books. Check the notice boards in the University to see what is available today.
