Happy Easter!

Borås City is celebrating Easter with a big Easter parade (Påskparad) on Saturday 30 March. The parade starts at Knalletorget kl. 12.00 (close to Röda Kvarn) and people are following Borås City's Easter chickens (Påskkyckling) to Stora Torget. You will meet many children masqueraded as e.g. Easter witches (Påskkäringar) who are exepecting to receive huge Easter eggs (cardboard eggs filled with sweets) at Stora Torget.

Does this tradition appear strange to you? Easter is celebrated in many countries around the world but in rather different ways. Apart from the quite popular Easter parades young children in Sweden also dress up as Easter witches and go from house to house asking for sweets.

Do you celebrate Easter in your home country?
