Lights in Alingsås

The Lights in Alingsås project started year 2000 when students from the School of Design and Art at the University of Gothenburg gathered in Alingsås to try different light installations on public buildings. Lights in Alingsås quickly became popular among the inhabitants and is today a unique light event which attracts light designers and visitors from near and far! The latest years there have been around 80.000 visitors at the event each year. If you like to experience the Lights in Alingsås take buss 550 from Borås Resecentrum and you'll arrive in Alingsås in 50 minutes. Last day is Nov 3.

You can either walk between the light installations yourself or join a guided tour. Public guided light tours starts at 18.45, 19.15 and 19.30. Tickets cost 80 SEK/person and can be bought at Ljuskansliet Estrad Alingsås, until the start of the tour.
